The Bella Coola Music Festival is governed by a non-profit organization called the Discovery Coast Music Festival Society. The Board currently consists of 7 directors: Buddy Thatcher, Justin Gray, Corissa McNeilly, Karl Frostrup and Capri Jones. We give all creative credit to our wonderful Artistic Director of the festival, Rose Clark. Discovery Coast Music Festival Society Constitution
1. The name of the Society shall be “Discovery Coast Music Festival Society”

2. The objectives of the Society are to:

a) To showcase entertainment of a multicultural nature, for all ages of people, in an alcohol and drug-free surrounding.
b) To include and encourage local youth to participate in the Festival.
c) To assist the economic development of the community by creating a colourful and engaging tourist attraction.
d) To foster optimism and hope in a community that is faced with economic and cultural challenges.
e) To recognize the traditional territory of the Nuxalk Nation, upon which the Festival is held, and to make an effort to showcase established and emerging Indigenous artists
3. Non-Discrimination Policy
The Society does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services.
